Massage Parlor Billionaire Chuwit Makes Political Comeback

The infamous massage parlor billionaire Chuwit Kamolvisit is back in politics as he takes on Thailand’s elections.

With his own party and more outrageous campaign strategies, Chuwit is set not to take the role of the government, but rather be the opposition.

He tells TAN Network’s Chaowarat Yongjiranon why in this special report.

He is back.

With his dramatic expressions and outrageous gimmicks, massage parlor billionaire Chuwit Kamolvisit is back in the political game as he runs in Thai elections again.

With now his own party called Rak Prathethai or Love Thailand, Chuwit plans to become the ultimate opposition for the country.

Chuwit has now thrown away his sledge hammer and replaced it with his pet bull dog terrier, Moto Moto and a steering wheel.

It is a show of his fierce loyalty to his country and his will to drive it forward.

Dogs, they never know that I am beautiful that I am handsome, that I have money in my pocket.

Dogs never change the party.

So dog is good.

Why not?

Dog is better than someone, better than some politicians, I believe.“

But will it really work?

In spite of his ability to keep himself in the public spotlight and garnering increasing amount of public attention in the past elections, there is still a question as to whether his campaign will work.

Having confessed to bribing the police after his arrest in 2003, Chuwit is not exactly the perfect crusader against corruption.

But to Chuwit it is this that sets him apart from other politicians.

But what in real life is not what you mention.

The ultimate decision maker is of course the voters who are getting the chance to vote for a democratic government after years of political instability.

While some are open-minded others see Chuwit as more of an entertainer rather than a potential leader.

Chuwit does not care if people think he is a clown.

Earning billions of baht per year with his business, he says he is not in it for the money and power, but to help his country against corruption.

That is why he fielded 10 partylist candidates, just enough to meet the requirements to run.

Frankly, I think if this guy was given a chance in opposition, he might actually achieve some good instead of rubber stamping corrupt projects. So, he's rich, so was Thaksin.

He doesn't pretend to be anything more than he is: an ex pimp, brothel owner who has seen that the politicians are screwing the Thai people. When politicians came to his establishments, they were the ones that got screwed. Gotta like the guy.even though he was a bad boy years ago when he smashed up Soi 10 bars.

Some posters might find Chuwit's supporters pictured-here "amazingly fresh and hot", like Ms Yingluck, others might not. But it must be admitted, this candidate would certainly add a bit of colour & fun, to parliamentary-sittings. Thailand's answer to Mayor-of-London 'Bo-Jo'.

The ones I've seen over the last couple of days have him making a kind of grimace, bearing his teeth as if he's doing an impression of some kind of bulldog, holding up his hand like a paw, signifying '5' (his election number) with his fingers.

I thought it quite scary at first, then realized it must be a joke. Surely.....
