Non B Visa About To Expire

Featured Replies

Good Day,

i've 1 year non immigrant B visa, it was extended 1 year ago plus multy re-entry permit and obviously a Work Permit.

JUNE 9 the visa will expire and i applied for the extension, but for some reason the documents weren't correct.

i should get the correct documents the 6th of June, then re-apply.

my questions are:

what happen if my visa expire before the immigration office accepts my documents?

is there a possibility of some short extension while trying to provide the correct documents?

i need to figure out the possible scenario if the immigration office sends me back again and again...

thanks,

You don't seem to know what is wrong with your documents. Is your work permit still valid and for how long? If you get the correct documents to immigration on June 6th and your extension of stay based on employment is valid until June 9th, you should be ok. If your extension of stay expires you should be prepared to make a visa run. Are you married to a Thai, if so you can get a 60 day extension from immigration.

thanks, i'm not married.

my WP is valid until feb next year.

there was a not clear photo from the working staff in office, so i did some new.

the minimun salary for thai staff was increased recently, so the accounting is updating all those papers, but usually it takes 5 days from revenue department.

here the issue, if it still wrong (social security tax or so) i need another 5 days to re-update the docs and it's not enough my remaining stay.

for visa run, does it extend NON B ? when i went out of thailand i always got the stamp showing JUNE 9th as my last day to stay in thailand

As I read things, your original non-immigrant "B" visa has long since expired. You are in Thailand on an extension of stay based on employment which has a fixed expiration date, June 9th. Beyond that expiration date you either need another extension or a new non-immigrant "B" visa to be able to continue working. Your re-entry permit has been getting you admitted back into Thailand until June 9th.

You extend your permission to stay. If the documents are not in order on the 9th, immigration has the option to give you a 7 day under consideration for 1,900 baht. It is up to their discretion to allow it or not.

If you would also fail when that ends, you would have to leave the country and apply for a non-B visa in a neighboring country.

ok, i got it.

what happen to my WP ? will it also expire following the Visa?

i mean, if i'm leaving thailand to restart the procedure for NON B visa, should i reapply for a new WP? or the old one will be still valid?

The old one wil still be valid, in combination with a correct visa entry. The work permit is no longer tied to your permission to stay, but you can only work in combination with the right visa.

fast update,

i got the 7 extra days, coz something failed again and i've 2 days left (till june 16th).

the immigration office kept all my docs, but not the letter which is certifing the financial statment 2010 under approval by audit.

from june 1st is mandatory to provide the audit approval and not a letter...waaaaaaaaaaaa

during the week, sadly, the accounting resigned from our office and didn't apply (also didn't show up or inform us).

i'm trying to go tomorrow to immigration with a letter stating all our financial statement 2010 is under check at an external accounting office. (this office issued the letter for me and expect to finish the check around the end of june)

what my probability the letter is accepted by immigration?

if it also fails, do i have to apply for a new NON B VISA at other country's consolate?

can i have 1 year visa or just 3 months?

ok, so if i'm going to KLumpur once my permit to stay in thailand already expired, can i do and get (if docs in order) a new NON B for 1 year?

once done, can i link my actual work permit to the new visa?

thanks

You said your WP is valid till next year Feb. in an earlier post. Based on that you will probably get a multiple non-B in KL, with company papers and copy of WP.

At the least they will issue a single, but suspect you get a multiple.
