October 10, 200520 yr Hi. I have a 1 year multiple entry non-immigrant B visa issued in December 2004. I never used it to get a work permit and have simply done a visa run every 90 days. However, I have now got a full time job with a government school and they will help me get a work permit. From looking at Thaivisa, I see that the one year extension you get with a work permit is valid from the date you enter Thailand on the non-immigrant B visa. My question is, does that mean December 22, 2005 (1 year after I entered Thailand the first time on my multiple entry B visa) is the cut-off point for any work permit extension? Is it better to get another Non-Immigrant B with a letter from my new employer and start the work permit application with the new visa? And does it make any difference if I do it before November 16 (the date of my exit stamp) or after (as I can get another 3 months in Thailand if I leave before this date on my old multiple entry B visa? Thanks a lot!
