Jai Dee Posted October 10, 2005 Share Posted October 10, 2005 The Ministry of Science and Technology will speed up the early warning system installment in Phang-Nga to be completed by end of November. 16 early warning towers will be installed in 3 districts of Phang-Nga, according to Phang-Nga Deputy Governor Jit Pasompong. They will be in Thakuapa, Thaimuang and Kura Buri. After having a meeting with officials from the Ministry of Science and Technology to designate the location the vice governor stated that the Department of Public Works and Town and Country Planning will be responsible for building the basement for the towers while the Ministry of Science and Technology will be responsible in 12 locations and these are scheduled to be completed by 30th of November in time for the tourist high season. Phang-Nga is also having 4 more information distribution towers in vulnerable communities. The facilities came from private funding and also planned to be completed by end of November.
