Visa/Work Permit Reporting Every 90 Days Question

Featured Replies

Nationality: British

Through my job I have a visa until April next year, but need to report every 90 days. Currently my work place takes care of everything, but if I were to leave my job, am I okay to stay here until my visa runs out?

If I still have my permit (assuming my boss doesn't ask me to surrender it) can I go and report every 90days and be fine until my visa runs out?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

If your reporting every 90 days you would be on an extension, once your employment ends so does your extension to stay and will need to leave the country the same day........

The option of you not surrendering your WP and terminating your employment would at a minimum mean your still working and collecting a Salary, who is paying the taxes on this fictitious salary ?

if you leave your job, you will have to leave the country the same day but can get 7 days to leave if you visit immirgation and cancel your stay with a letter form your employer and ask for an extension.

Your workpermit must be cancelled with a letter from your employer to the labour office.
