Non-Immigrant "O" Multipe Entry

Featured Replies

Hi,

37-year-old American here. I had a one year Non-Immigrant "O" Multipe-Entry a couple years ago, and I dutifully went on border runs every 90 days, and stretched it out to a 15 month stay in Thailand.

Now, I have another Non-Immigrant "O" Multipe-Entry visa. I'm thinking of straying from the "border run every 90 days" pattern and taking a couple mini-vacations out of Thailand. As the name "Multipe-Entry" would indicate, I imagine this is fine. I did search the forum and found one thread that stated you can enter and re-enter as many times as you want but I want to be sure as it wasn't the focus of the thread. I've spent enough time in Thailand to learn things are not always as they appear, and it's better to be safe than sorry!

Specifially, I want to make my border run in a couple weeks as my first 90 days are almost up. Then, a week or two after returning to Thailand, I would like to spend a week in Indonesia. Similary, a month or two down the road I would like to spend a week in Singapore.

I'm assuming I can leave as many times as I want (within the one year validity of my visa) and will simply get another 90 days each time. Any caveats or reasons why this isn't the case? This seems like exactly what the visa was designed for, and a silly question, but I'm bringing my girlfriend and our child on vacations, so I just want to make sure I'm in the clear before I start planning and booking!

Thanks,

Scott

Yes, you can leave and re-enter as many times as you want. As long as the visa is valid you will get a new 90 days permission to stay each time you enter Thailand.

Hi, I have been coming in and out of the country every 5 weeks for the past couple years without problem, however they may have a few head scratching next time I exit, as I will only be entering for about 6 hours then fly out with the wife for our holidays

Thank you for the replies, I'm at ease now and ready to start booking some vacations :)

Relax...... If you have multiple entries (Non-O, Non-O-A, etc) - no one will question you. It's nothing out of the ordinary.
