June 11, 201115 yr Over here in the middle east I am having trouble finding a good shop for real HiFi. The best I can find is offering me $400 AV receivers for $1400, last years models to boot. I am chasing the Yamaha distributer to see if they can recommend other retail outlets. The speakers in stock are not brands that I know either. Davis Jamo Pure Accoustic Does anyone have experience of these brands, or can point me to good review sites. I will probably choose the best sounding pair for the main fronts, floor standing probably, then see what I can get to fill in the surround. Due to size and weight the speakers will have to be bought here, but for the amp it may be worth a short plane trip to Cyprus or Dubai. Thanks
June 12, 201115 yr Out of the speaker brands memtioned, I've only listened to Jamo, which have a better "heritage", as they are "danish". As most of their drivers are vifa based, I would go for these. Jamo is by no means considered a highend brand in Denmark, but usually considered an "okay" brand. A warehouse bulk seller much in line with Dantax or other danish brands. Edited June 12, 201115 yr by JackA
