I was in Chiang Mai recently and took a friend who wanted to buy some pottery to the place named in the topic. The place was closed and I am just wondering whether I was unlucky and it was a holiday or something, or whether the place has closed. There was no one there at all. It used to be run by an American named Richard if I remember correctly.

The owner was returning to Ireland last I heard. He was fighting cancer. I don't know how he is now but wish him the best.

I'm sorry to inform you that the owner passed away some time ago, and it is extremely unlikely that this shop will ever re-open.

Some confusion over what actually happened to the guy that was running it though. Some say he died in Thailand, some say in Ireland and other replies indicated he had just moved away !!

Whatever happened I think it is gone one way or another.
