Hi,

I have been in Thailand for the last two years on a non b visa. I had to return to the UK for 6 months but am going back to Thailand in November. My current non B expires on 6th December. I would rather get a new one before I leave as it is easier to get one while I am in the UK. So the question is, can I apply for a new non B visa before my current one has expired.

Do you have a multi entry, or if a single did you get a Re-entry permit?

It was a multi entry permit. I have the paper work to get another multi-entry and would like to do that before the expiration date on this one if possible.

Consulate should not issue a new visa if you still have a valid visa in your passport but if they also issued the first they may be willing to cancel it. Just to be 100% sure (your use of word "permit" raises doubt) you are staying in Thailand on 90 day entry and exit return for new 90 day entry and want to continue doing this rather than obtain one year extension of stay from Immigration?

I would do in the UK, if you are there, saves coming here then 3 months down the line doing it again and paying to travel somewhere. You can post it all to Hull in the UK.

Sorry, my terminology is a bit off, I don't mean a permit. I am referring to a one year multi entry visa with 90 day exits, which can be extended to 15 months if you leave 5 days before the end date.

I got it issued in Hull so perhaps they will cancel it for me and issue a new one.

If I did re-enter on this visa in November 2011 before its expiry date on 6th December 2011 will they stamp me with another three months?

Yes - any entry is 90 days.
