Crossy
Do you intend renewing your Work Permit or is the job actually finishing? It seems you have an extension of stay from immigration in Thailand (you're doing 90 day reports). If this is the case, and your employment is ending, you must leave the country on the day your employment ends. A 7 day extension is available for the usual 1,900 Baht so you don't have to leave immediately.
PoorSucker
If you are extension of stay from immigrations in Thailand then you must leave the same day as your work finish. If you are on non-immigrant non-B visa and leaves the country every 90 days then your visa is not cancelled. Since you mention that you make 90 day reporting at immigrations you are on extension of stay. No matter what date your WP and extension expires, you must leave the kingdom the same day as you quit your job. You can get 7 day extension at immigrations for 1900 baht.
