IF u can afford those overprized rates u (should) certainly be capable to pay high proze hotel rates as well (imho).... as far as I know there is only (long-term, private) apts located around Samui GC. You can find nice beachfront hotels there at reasonable price especially now (low season). Don't know what's you budget so browse few Koh Samui sites to choose the one you like and call them to negotiate the price. Don't follow the rates on the web sites. One call make a day. Here you have Koh Samui mate.
