June 18, 201115 yr Hello, I'm married to a Thai gal. Have 3 kids. I got my first non O in June 2010. Did the border runs (didn't know I'd be here this long so I never did the 40K per month thing). Got my 4th (final?) re-entry recently but I will not be in Thailand to do the permission to stay thing. May not return to Thailand till March of 2012. When I return I will be staying for a long time again. Do I need to get a new non O visa in California and start the process again?
June 18, 201115 yr Not sure what you have but a multi entry non immigrant O visa allows unlimited number of entries during the period it is valid (one year from date of issue). If that expires before you return you will need a new visa prior to next entry. If you can meet the 40k monthly income of 400k in bank two months you only need a single entry visa and can then extend for one year after being here 60 days. But if you plan travel it would probably be best to just obtain a multi entry again and then you do not have any immigration requirements. You are aware that you can return the day before such a visa expires for a final 90 day stay?
June 18, 201115 yr Author Thanks for the reply I have a multiple entry non O. My 15th month will end 14 september. I will not return till next year. So if I get new visa next year and if I only get a single entry and do the 40K per month thing Then I will have to get a re-entry (stamp?) every time I leave Thailand ? How long are the re-entry stamps good for?
June 18, 201115 yr To return on current permitted to stay (extension) a re-entry permit would be required. They are valid for the same period as your current permitted to stay stamp.
