June 22, 201115 yr today i have called the thai consulate by phone and asked about what are needed docs for getting tourist visa before arriving there. A woman answered the call and she talked greatly the local lang here. Then i have asked myself if she is the citizen or not . and then she said please write down ; the needed docs are : tickets, 2 fotos and pasaport...yes thats all! and then i have asked back if i do need a paid return ticket within visa's time validity. she said no, only going ticket is enough. and prices are for 1 entry visa is : 35usd 2 entries visa is : 70 usd and 3 entries visa is 105usd. and i forgot to ask, if i get 2 entries visa, after 3 month would i need to leave the country?, so here is my question : if i get 2 entries visa, do i have to leave the country when validity of the visa passed? for renewing i mean. thanks in advance.
June 22, 201115 yr You need to leave the country and return to activate your second entry. Pay attention to the visa expiration date, second entry must be made before the visa expires.
June 23, 201115 yr Each entry is 60 days and can be extended by a further 30 days at Immigration in Thailand (1,900 Baht) At the end of that time you leave the country and return to activate your next entry.
June 23, 201115 yr Author thank you for answers. in another thread there is someone says renewing for another turist visa, cost 3000 is it so? if i get 3 entries turist visa and will leave country and apply for renewing, will i have to pay this price with the entries where i got already in my country? June 23, 201115 yr Believe you are asking about exit/return for a new entry using the visa you already have (there is no renewal) and that will depend on how you travel and where you go. You have to pay transport and any fees such as a visa for the other country. Normal cost from Bangkok to Cambodia is a bit more than 2,000 baht by van.
June 23, 201115 yr Author lopburi ; for example i go to malaysia ( no visa needed here) i dont mean transport and other fees, i mean for getting another turist visa, will i have to pay a fee to the thai consulate of the current country where i applied? if yes is it 1.900 or sumthing like that? ( i will probably get a multiple entry visa in my country before i come ) Edited June 23, 201115 yr by aristo
June 24, 201115 yr A tourist visa costs 1,000 baht (in local currency) per entry. You pay for the visa at the embassy/consulate. When entering Thailand there are no cost, when you wnt to extend the entry by 30 days you pay 1,900 baht at an immigration office.
