Find time bermondburi. Am not saying what you're doing is wrong but imho, as a parent myself to 2 ages 4 and 2. Like you, it was only work and family when my 1st kid arrived. It was at the doorstep of a brothel on one of my overseas trip that i was thinking <deleted> was i doing there and realised my personal life was empty which led me to a brothel. So, i changed everything and now, i won't say am bored but just have loads of free time. Relationship at home now is even better than before and am making more now than before. What am trying to say is, when we are more balanced, our minds are able to work better resulting in more time, more money and better relationship at home.

I take work and take care of my kids. Exercise when I can. I would love to have the time for a hobbie.

It's not that bad for me really. I think that this is the way things are when you have young children. My two kids are nearly four and five and they are a handful. You can't leave them on their own because they will argue fight etc. I did a degree in fine art painting and I would love to be able to paint again. But I can see the paint going everywhere pretty quick with my two. My family life is good and I think I have a good relationship with my wife. I just wish I had more time but I'm going to have to wait a few years on that one. Or wait until my kids are old enough to go to the pub with me.:D

If your family life is good and you have two, active, lovely children then your hands are full and you don't NEED a hobby. You've already got the most important one there is... raising young children into being responsible adults. When they are grown there is time to go back to hobbies. Or, introduce your children to things you can do together. As a child I played with modelling clay and made all sorts of figurines. It was then that I learned about shapes and sculpture. I taught my teenage son about wood carving and carpentry and now he is a professional cabinet maker. Teach the kids sports or show them how to garden, or about the birds and wildlife. The more time you spend together the better off they will be. And, the time spent together will come back to please you when they are older.

Cheers for that , they are still quite young at the moment but I try to do what I can with them. I draw cars for them and then they colour them in and stuff like that. ABC and Thai alphabet take up time. Especially the Thai one ! Got tickets to see Chelsea playing Thai Premier league allstars next month and we're all going to that. Their first football match. Reminds me of my dad taking me to my first game which I still remember now. West Ham ( when they were good ) beating Aston Villa 4-1 in the 85 / 86 season. Frank McVennie and Tony Cottee up front. Saveloy and chips on the way home. That was living it up !

It was a much better option than going to see my local team Millwall going to play.

West Ham did finish third that season. Little did I know at age seven that that was going to be as good as it would ever get.

lol, I realise that now when I think about it...

I'll never forget that game at the Den in the mid 80's against Portsmouth. Visitors tickets was sold out (all ticket), but me and my mate (Portsmouth-fan) managed to buy tickets on the street and cuttled up amongst the bushwhackers at Cold Blow Lane ... So, Millwall gets hammered by 4-0 and people around us begin to doubt our allegiances when we restrict our complaints to "oi, you bad bad you..." and didn't participate in the other violent stuff that was going on amongst the average bushwhacker...

I hate to admit it though, that is one heck of a football ground. As a LOS residence I have to admit I miss my weekend cricket with the mates, there's a hobby I miss...

My old local was a pub in North Peckham / Old Kent Road called the Swan ( it's gone now ). I remember watching the West Ham -Liverpool FA Cup final in there. There was a good bit of banter going on and then the whole pub started singing You'll Never Walk Alone to me and the other West Ham fan. Really funny.

When they were making the 'Football Factory' they just used a lot of local guys as extras for some of the scenes around the railway arches. Obviously everyone loved it.

Give me Thailand though anyday.
