June 23, 201115 yr Question, at the end of this month my WP will be taken away. I would like to know if my "B" Visa is still good until the end of the year or do I need to apply for a different visa. I do not qualify for a retirment visa as I am only 48
June 23, 201115 yr Provided your still on a B visa then yes you will be fine, if the B visa was converted to an extension though you will need to leave the country same day as your WP is returned or alternatively you can obtain a 7 day extension for 1900b.
June 24, 201115 yr Per above, it depends on if you have a valid visa entry of 90 days or are on an extensions of stay from immigration. Extensions of stay end the same day as the reason for the extension ends, in your case your employment. The employer needs to notify the labour office and also give you a letter for immigration, notifying that your employment has ended. You then can get 7 days from immigration to leave the country, by paying 1,900 baht.
June 25, 201115 yr Author Thanks for the answers. It states The Alien permitted to stay longer in the Kingdom must notify your place of residence to Immigration every 90 days. So will I just be able to registar next month.
June 25, 201115 yr No visa allows more than a 90 day stay so with that notation you must have an extension of stay which must be canceled the day your employment ends.
June 27, 201115 yr Author I made a mistake I have Non-Immigrant Re-Entry permit so I think I do not need to change visa until Dec 5th even though I do not have a work permit is this correct
June 27, 201115 yr I made a mistake I have Non-Immigrant Re-Entry permit so I think I do not need to change visa until Dec 5th even though I do not have a work permit is this correct Do you have to leave the country every 90 days (a multiple non-B visa) or do you have a 1year extension of stay from immigration with a re-entry permit? A multiple non-B stays valid, just leave the country every 90 days. A 1 year extension of stay on the otherhand becomes invalid, even with a re-entry permit.
June 27, 201115 yr No that is not correct - your extension of stay must be canceled the day your work ends. That re-entry permit only keeps a valid extension of stay alive for travel - it does not change the requirement to cancel extension of stay when the conditions of its issue are no longer valid.
