Hi there! I was wondering if anyone could tell me if there is a Thai embassy in Peru. I currently live in the United States and will be traveling to my native country, Peru, in about a month.

I have been away from Peru for several years and I am not sure whether there is a Thai embassy in Peru or not. I need to know if as a peruvian citizen, I need a thai visa to travel to Thailand. I heard from some friends that I may need a British visa to enter Thailand, is this correct? Why a British visa? Thailand is not a colony of the United Kingdom as far as I am concerned.

Please if anyone knows anything, let me know.

This is a list of embassys in Peru, Thailand is not on the list. There was talks in 2003 about Thailand opening an embassy there for trade ties but guess nothing has happened yet. Also the thai gov. web site: http://www.mfa.go.th/web/10.php

Peru is allowed a 30 day visa on arrival.

As you are a peruvian citizen, if you have a peruvian passport, you don't need a visa for Thailand.
