June 27, 201115 yr If i buy a condo for less then <10 million baht, does that change anything on my visa options? I am pretty sure i cant apply for an investment visa because it is below 10mil, but do i really have to do the tourist/ed visa route even if i buy a condo for like 6 million here? I am too young for a retirement visa also, so that isn't an option either.
June 28, 201115 yr Nothing changes. Getting married will give you another visa option (but only if to someone of the opposite sex).
June 28, 201115 yr Another option -- rent. Although I did this myself for retirement, I question the wisdom of committing to real estate ownership in a country that doesn't offer you a commitment to secure residency. As a younger working person you could achieve that here but it sounds like you don't want or need to work here.
June 29, 201115 yr The education visa is a good option. Learning Thai is a popular way and valid for this visa. The school will provide details and backup.
