My missus is often selfish also...the other day she asked me if I had washed up the dishes....this was because she was away for the day and I had decided to wash them, first time in over a decade. Don't you realise what you did? You entered her territory...the kitchen...without her permission....and by doing the dishes usurped her privaledge. By doing those dishes you took away her justfcation and purpose in life...taking care of her family properly. It would be the same for you if your wife had repaired the car without consulting you when it broke down. Maybe I've been married too long, but I caught that right away.
