Austrian resident caught up in “slingshot” robbery in Jomtien

PATTAYA: -- An Austrian resident of Pattaya was the victim of a “slingshot” robbery late on Wednesday Night. Mr. Roland Georg Ilmer aged 51 was driving his motorbike close to the Pattaya Floating Market on the Sukhumvit Road with his Philippine Wife riding as passenger. He suddenly felt a sharp pain on his neck and realized he had been hit with something. He stopped the bike and seconds later another bike pulled up behind him and the passenger approached Mr. Ilmer and his Wife armed with a slingshot
