Proof Of Address

Featured Replies

I tried to get a drivers license and they said I need to bring proof of my address at the immigration office or embassy.

Since I am going to the embassy today anyways, what do I need to get this? Do I just show up with my passport?

Thanks

Be good to have some money to pay for it. They should have a letter that you fill out your address and sign.

Be best to check your Embassy web site for any requirements needed to prove it.

If you're an American, it'd be a whole lot cheaper (perhaps better said "less expensive") to do this at your local Immigration office, altho you'd have to figure in transportation cost.

The U.S. Embassy charges $50 for a notarial!!! About baht 1,500+-. http://bangkok.usembassy.gov/schedule_fees.html

Immigration offices seem to charge baht 100-500.

Mac

Probably even more expensive if you have the misfortune to be British.
