Places To Stay In Thailand

Featured Replies

Hello

I have been to thailand twice this year for a month and stayed in Pattaya and Jomtien. I am wanting to go out there for a 3 to 4 month period but would like to stay somewhere that is less hustle and bustle and less tip tip tip for everyone. I still wold like to be near bars and restaurants.

I don't mind paying a lot for the place I live in I would just like to be somewhere that is cheaper to eat and drink.

Could anyone advise on their experiences?

Almost anywhere in Thailand would be better than that commerciallised sh*t hole and rats nest.

How about Chiang Mai? Or Chiang Rai?

Kanchanaburi, ko samet, ko chang.

What are your preferred eats and drinks OP?

Try Naklua. A quiet suburb north of Pattaya. Get on or close to Naklua Road, inland side, and you can rent new furnished studio condo for 8,000 baht. Plenty of baht buses into Pattaya, 15 minutes to Central Pattaya for 10 baht.

Not many British/American restaurants, but German bars and restaurants abound. Good local markets within walking distance. All the advantages of Pattaya without the hustle.

Hi i am mark. aussie in Ban Phe opposite koh samet island. about an hour from pattaya. sounds like yr looking for Ban Phe. quite a few house rentals in the

area for between 7k to 16k per month ++

i run a guesthouse bar restaraunt. apart from the main launch point for the island it houses a fishing fleet. got yr normal 7-11's, tesco,

tops, plenty of bars, restaraunts, certainly not a pattaya model. sounds like thats what u maybe interested in

anyway if u feel like it check it out.

cheers mark
