I live near the Conrad hotel and was wondering if any one knew a local market near me. I bought a mango in Tops for 70bt (good quality but all the same!)

I am hoping there is a place nearby where I can buy the vegetables and fruit at a more "thai" price.

Well, there is one almost on your doorstep! Go to Sukhumvit, turn right and there a sizable one outside Ploenchit Centre. Cross the road, there's another series of street vendors down to Nana Square. Spoilt for choice we are here! TIT chub, chub, chub (for grub that is)!
