marios
Hi. I have been thinking about buying a condo in Bkk for a long time now. My information on prices comes mostly from ads of the various property brokers in the net although I have actually seen a number of properties myself. Because I was not ready to buy at that time I did not start bargaining for the price. Do you have any idea how inflated is the starting price on average? Does the same rule of bargaining for the price apply in real estate as well? I know that if a developer gives a vey generous discount is a sure sign that he is very much squeezed so competion of the project may be in doubt. Similarly for renting, is the asking price usually negotiable? Cheers mario
Erwin1011
Go down 60%, he will come back up to 80-85%. you will end up with 75-80%. If he walks away at 60 he is not pressured( building pre-sold to speculators and family relations. Never go as an individual unit investor, pretend you want 3-4 units. Watch him/her squirm. Be prepaired to walk away from a 75-80% offer, unless exceptional quality.
