LINGUISTIC TESTERS (Native Speakers) Job Opening

SDL Thailand is looking for a number of contract and freelance Linguistic Software Testers who have native-language fluency in reading and typing especially in French, German, Italian, Spanish, Japanese, Brazilian/European Portuguese, Basque, Galician, Norwegian, Romanian, Chinese Traditional/Simplified and Korean.

Linguistic Testers will perform Quality Assurance tasks for a wide variety of translated software, Web and hand-held applications. The work will take place at SDL's location in Bangkok, Thailand.

The ideal candidate will verify that the localized software, hand-held or website User Interface displays the correct local features, and that it is completely, accurately and consistently translated.

Although training will be provided, the ideal candidate will already possess intermediate computer skills.

Desired skills:

• An excellent and up-to-date understanding of your language, its usage and regional conventions. You must be a native-language speaker. Projects currently require native speakers of Italian, Japanese, Brazilian/European Portuguese, Basque, Galician, Norwegian, Romanian, Chinese Traditional/Simplified and Korean. (Other nationalities native speakers may also apply and we will keep your application in view)

• Ability to review technical specifications and follow written test cases.

• Familiarity with the terminology used in smart phones, database administration, electronic banking, online shopping, digital cameras, and current commercial and consumer applications on the Web (Windows and/or Mac.)

• Flexibility with working hours.
