90 Days Reporting

Featured Replies

Just got my retirement visa and also a re-entry permit (multiple).

The question I would like to ask is about the 90 days reporting.

The reason is this.

Every month I will be leaving Thailand and then after a month

or so I will return back to Thailand. And then a month or so I leave

again. To and fro without completing the 90 days stay.

By doing so in a whole year, I won't be able to stay more than

90 days or even less. Is it OK with this. Will I face any problems.

Have I to report?

Thanking you all in advance.

No. If you are not in the country for 90 days you do not have to report. :)

Thanks Lite Beer.

Much appreciated.

I agree, if you are here fewer than 90 days you do not need to report.

Does this mean that when I am on a retirement extension I could, for example, pop across the border for an afternoon bowl of chicken soup in Tachileik every 89 days and never have to do the 90 day immigration reports? (Eating chicken soup suits my nature much better than reporting to the authorities does.)

yes, that is if you have a valid re-entry permit, otherwise you will lose your current permission to stay (extension) .

Of course this is the same thing really - you put your address (place of stay) on the arrival card - same as reporting.
