Ocean View Room: Pattaya, Jomtien Or ?

Featured Replies

Ms. R and I have decided to hit the beach this coming long weekend. We're driving from Korat. All I want is a decent room with a balcony view of the ocean as all we intend to do is sit, read and relax. So, location (with respect to shopping, dining, bars, etc.) is not all that important. I'd be willing to spend up to 3 or 4K baht per night for the right spot. I realize we're doing this a bit late....

(And, yes, we are brining our own supply of Gin and Tonic.)

TIA

Hmmm....I think we might do better with this in the Pattaya forum. How about we move this over there and see how it goes. I know you are short on time, so want to get all the exposure we can! ;)

Also, you might consider this place. Not sure of the prices, but very nice beach and a bit out of town.

Pattaya forum is fine. Thanks for the suggestion on Sunset Village.

Others are much more informed on Pattaya than I am, but here's a few suggestions:

Hilton: It's new, the rooms are quite nice, great lunch buffet, and it's connected to Central Festival Mall...so lots of eating options. Right in the middle of everything and private parking for the hotel.

Royal Cliff near Pratumnak Hill

Amari: The new tower has great views

Holiday Inn: new hotel. Seems like they have good views also.

Just some thoughts.

Thanks. Royal Cliff looks lovely.

Rabbit Resort or Cabbage and Condoms.

Both look really nice. Thanks.

Centara Grand Mirage at Wongamat Beach. Great rooms and Balconey. Shuttle service to Central festival shopping mall and quite a selection of bars and restaurants not only in the hotel but in the vicinity.

Thanks to all. We've made a booking based on a recommendation made here. I appreciate the advice.
