Window Putty

Featured Replies

Does anyone know of a shop that has? Glazing putty/mastic, the kind you knead to soften or the type that comes in a small tub similar to DAP product. I've been all over including the usual suspects, no have.

I too have tried to obtain English/ Australian putty in Thailand. No success. You can make your own . Whiting and Linseed oil.

When I was apprentice painter that was one of my first teachings. It can be obtained but I do not know where.

The guy that put glass in my house used some so it is around. Why not try asking the shops that sell and install glass, the better ones should have it.

On the road going from Nawarat Bridge towards the train station, there is a hardware store on the left hand side, maybe about 100m or so before the first set of traffic lights. It has power tools and other hardware on display on the pavement outside the shop. It is opposite a dim sum / bean bun restaurant (which is excellent btw!). It's a small shop, but well stocked and has knowledgeable staff. The owners speak decent english, the workers don't.

Anyway I got some putty in there. Not sure if it was glazing putty, but it came in a tube, and you mix the two elements together to produce a sticky putty that eventually hardens.

Hope this helps.
