I want to make some nougat, hence my need for rice paper. Has anyone any idea where I might buy it? Have tried Yok and the supermarkets but no joy.

Can you explain more about rice paper that you are looking for? May be I can help you to find it , if I understand what you are looking for.

It is an edible paper, very thin and made from rice. It is used as a base for maccaroons, nougat and other confectionary items.

Just guessing but would a bakery supply shop may be have some.

I keep thinking of the old TV series Kung <deleted> where grasshopper has to learn to walk on it with out damaging it.

Suggest you look for the sweet "Sai-Mai" pancake seller and buy some of their "pancakes" I use them in lieu of rice paper and it works fine. It does tend to burn around the edges though.
