Hi Everyone. I need to book a flight from chiang to pai for my girlfriend on kan airlines. I will be booking online from england and giving girlfriend relevant details.But i am just wondering if on domestic flights using a thai ID card is sufficient as she doesn't have a passport. Thanks

A Thai ID card is just fine. FYI, when I fly, I use my Thai driver license, not my passport, it's just handier to pull out of my pocket.

On a random note, I've actually used my US driver's license before when I stupidly forgot my passport. It surprised me that they let it go, but they were perfectly fine with it.

So when you got to where you were going you were only flying distance from wherever you forgot

your passport? And you didn't need it for hotels or to get back or anything?
