Work In Chaing Mai

Moving out next year with the wife(Thai).

Should be able to live off my savings.

But would like some sort of job to stop me getting bored.

Small income would be OK.

Just really looking for a hobby, but a paid for hobby.

Do you have any kind of University degree?

If so, working at Chiang Mai University teaching English sounds right up your alley.

Nice kids, a miserable salary and a - somewhat - free work permit are all part of the "deal". :o

No degree.

Worked for a local council for 21 years.

Started out as a painter then office bound for the last 8 years or so.

Currently working in the housing side of things.

Not really much work out in Chaing Mai for an ex council worker...or is there??

The work permit........!!

Never mind....

Probably just send the wife out :o

Why not open a second hand book shop, Chiang Mai needs more Jeffrey Archers. Only Joking nobody sensible would want to do that.

What skills do you have ?

Apart from the painting skills (no I don`t want to go back to that),I have worked in various departments of a local authority.

Housing Inspector,Estate office,Team Leader etc.

But these skill won`t get me any paid work in Chaing Mai.

Think I`ll be better off taking up gardeneng or something...
