Grain Mill

I dont know of any commercial mills here but there must be somewhere.

I got a grinder from outside Makro on the hang dong rd.

Hand cranked, clamps to a table top, 1000B.

Its pretty crap, wont grind fine enough for flour,

but ok for grinding chicken food.

I imported one from the US.

Its good but takes an Hour to do a Kilo.

At the moment Im using a spice grinder attachment on a cheap blender.

Works ok, I use it 50/50 with white (store bought) flour to make bread.

Is the wheat dehusked already ? do you grow your own ?

I am looking for one that will do a pretty coarse grind.Maybe the same as a very rough whole wheat flour, but low on the flour.

A thousand Baht seems quite a bit to shell out , not knowing what it will be like?

I have the same one as pond life and agree that it doesn't grind super fine, but it works great for grinding coffee and masa flour, corn etc. It is adjustable and uses two serrated wheels grinding against each other. It is comparable to the standard cast iron grain grinder that is used by Mexicans....i think called the 'molina'....google it. It looks exactly the same and at half the price [not including shipping].

I'm happy with mine and being cast iron, it will outlast me!!

The same shop also has a motorised version mounted on a table for larger quantities.
