I only post here during tournaments but I'm interested in the full-time, long-time fans opinion on Klinsmann as the new USA coach. Will being a great player translate into a great coach? What do you think?

He's an intelligent bloke so yes I think a good appointment. Good news for the profile of US soccer too.

He took a lot of flak in Germany pre World Cup 2006, but they were all delighted with him during the tournament which saw Germany reach the semi final losing in the closing minutes of extra time to the Italians.

I think he'll be a success, and take the USA national side to another level internationally. I think Bradley had taken them as far as he could, although he did have some remarkable successes too.

yeah i wondered about that, seemed a decent coach. think klinsmann is all show and no substance to be honest. getting germany to 3rd place in the 2006 world cup was supposedly all the work of his assistant jogi low anyway.
