buying a condo--must transfer funds from overseas?

what if someone has worked here legally for years and has saved enough to pay cash for a condo? do they still have to show that the money came from overseas.

Yes, unless you have PR status as a foreigner or buy in a Thai name.

I was told the same too. Seems funny. Live here, have the visa, and the work permit. even have proof of 4 condos I sold in Thailand that the funds came from outside.
