Re-Entry Permit With Non Imm O

Featured Replies

I have a Non Imm. O, valid until October 2011. In the past I have always gone and purchased a re-entry permit before leaving the country, in order not to disturb the visa. However, just recently, and I can't find it again, one of the Mods posted on here that in the case of a single Non Imm O, that a re-entry was not required. I am now confused (easily in my case) and would like to know whether this is indeed correct.

A re-entry permit is required if you want to keep your curuent permisison to stay alive. Without a re-entry permit, you would have to apply for a new visa.

I think you misread. Only with a valid multiple entry visa is a re-entry permit not required, as long as you return to Thailand before the visa expires.

Many thanks for that. I will continue to follow my original plan.
