Hello All,

I am in Brisbane Australia and need some advice in obtaining a one year Visa rather than a Tourist Visa. But i have a need to bring my motorbike with me.

I read that the Brisbane Thai Embassy is workable but need the correct procedure.

I want to travel around Thailand looking for a suitable place to settle and want to visit Laos, Cambodia and Malaysia.

Malaysia will accept a Carnet de Passage but seems Thailand does limit the bike stay.

I had intended to fly the bike into KL as i am advised that the collection process is much simpler than Bangkok.

Am sure this scenario has played out many times before so would appreciate any feedback that you may provide.
