Whats Happening At Gmail

Featured Replies

Twice today I've tried to login and both times had to replace my password and apply a phone text code to verify it. This problem obviously effects Outlook and the POP servers connection. I see where they have added another security measure by adding text verification codes but I have not applied for that as yet.

Anyone else?

Gmail has been working fine for me and I use Outlook as my client via the POP interface. Webmail version has been working fine also. Sent/received email this morning, and just a few minutes ago I downloaded new emails with Outlook. I'm on True Cable interent in Bangkok.

Hello,

I signed in to my google acct ten minutes ago - situation normal, for me at least.

I suspect a password change would be in order for your computer - and then a malware scan! Or, call an exterminator, :>) because it sure seems like you have bug or two procreating in there.

Cheers, jaykayem

Next time you log in check your recent log in history (there's a link in the footer).

This will show you the IPs from which your gmail account has been logged into.

It sounds like perhaps your account may be getting flagged for security issues.

2-step authentication is a bit of a PITA, but the added security is well worth it when you consider the damage being compromised might wreak.
