Kickstand
My HP laptop has developed a power problem. Sent it to HP and they can't figure it out.It is probably a bad chip on the board, but nobody seems to be able to anything except swap parts.and they don't have the parts. Can you recommend someone that has the skills to actually do troubleshooting / repairs on electronic components? Thanks

Darrel
Repairs to laptop motherboards? A waste of time and money. Even manufacturers wont try and repair a board. If replacement boards arent available then buy a new laptop. Even if replacement boards are available, I personally wouldnt bother fitting one to a unit that is old enough to be out of warranty. Just bin it and start again.
