I have had a retirement for six years but last year i decided to get a visa based on being married to a thai. Worst thing i ever did. I was talked down to and treated with disrespect . I also had to return to imigration four times before i got my visa from Bangkok So back to retirement visa this year which is a simple and usually quick ( 10 -20 min ) job. Does anyone know if changing visa type requires any additionall paper work..I cant remember Doing any last year .

They might ask your wife to appear to sign off that she is aware you are changing reason for extension of stay - they did me about six years ago. Want to be sure the wife knows you may be planning her removal.
