I have a Non Immigrant Visa "O" in my passport which I used on my last trip to Thailand. It was issued on 8 Sept 2010 and must be utilized by 8 Sept 2011.

I am arriving on 29 August and staying for 8 months,can I use the visa?

Yes. When you enter Thailand 29th August you will get a stay of 90 days.

After that you need to get another Visa of some type.

That means you can not enter with that visa for any time after 8 Sept 2011. Only keep the time of any entry before that date (if you don't leave or obtain a re-entry permit)
