Platinum In Thailand

Featured Replies

So, with platinum finally approaching parity with gold again, I was considering taking the opportunity to diversify slightly. Not a huge amount, as I believe gold will continue to be the only PM with a substantial monetary premium, but just as I hold some silver in case I am wrong I would not mind having a small amount of Pt.

Unfortunately, I have no idea where to find it, and I'm too busy right now to hike all over Bangkok looking. I can ask at BKK Assay, but I don't remember ever seeing it there, and even if they do carry it they usually have a pretty steep minimum. I'm not sure I want that much. I was hoping someone on here might have already done the legwork and could advise me where to go.

No need to get a geiger counter to find Platinum. Just buy it via your broker and trade online

Isn't platinum an industrial metal like (other than being way more expensive than) silver? I would think physical platinum would be very illiquid, but admit I don't know anything about it (or silver either).
