August 7, 201114 yr So, with platinum finally approaching parity with gold again, I was considering taking the opportunity to diversify slightly. Not a huge amount, as I believe gold will continue to be the only PM with a substantial monetary premium, but just as I hold some silver in case I am wrong I would not mind having a small amount of Pt. Unfortunately, I have no idea where to find it, and I'm too busy right now to hike all over Bangkok looking. I can ask at BKK Assay, but I don't remember ever seeing it there, and even if they do carry it they usually have a pretty steep minimum. I'm not sure I want that much. I was hoping someone on here might have already done the legwork and could advise me where to go.

August 8, 201114 yr Isn't platinum an industrial metal like (other than being way more expensive than) silver? I would think physical platinum would be very illiquid, but admit I don't know anything about it (or silver either).
