If we are so racist why are foreigners risking death to get into the UK? We ended our slave trade over 200 years ago then patrolled the west African coast freeing slaves sold by AFRICANS. The cost of buying slaves freedom on the colonies in the 1830's was paid off until this century, Britain was anti slavery well before almost any other nation and it's Empire was a glorious one. -

Could Trump's plan fail in a spectacular fashion?
IMO it is failing already. Most of the countries hit with across the board tariffs have responded in kind. When you have a country like Canada actually taking American products off supermarket shelves, that's not a blip. It's a major shift in attitude.
