Confused About The New Minimum Wage Hikes

Featured Replies

First of all i'm confused as I've been obviously reading to many posts and stories online. Here's what I've read or heard

1. 300 Baht wage will only apply in bangkok and phuket

2. 300 baht wage will apply everywhere

3. 300 baht wage will first be tested in bangkok or phuket

4. Apparently cambodians, burmese, etc are eligble for the 300 baht wage a day

5. the 300 baht was only a campaign speech and not a actual promise?

6. 300 Baht wage will start in january 2012

does anyone out there have any actual idea on the new thai government promises regarding this issue if so I look forward to your response

My comment would be....dont worry about it.....do you really think they are going to do it, a hollow election promise amongst many others....watch how this will get back peddled and spun in the coming months.....worldwide economic recession will be blamed for preventing "the dear leader" from implementing the country wide pay rise in Thailand...ie the farangs fault again....

dont worry it will not happen.

Great political commentary from someone who has just got the plane...priceless.....so "daftpunker" what do you base your insightful analysis on ?.....

Do you have to pass a test to prove you are over "retard" level to get it.................cant see it happening much then :whistling:

They could use some of the 11bn baht that Thaksin's children owe in tax to help.

Oh...................................................
