Is It Easier To Get A Work Permit?

Featured Replies

suppose someone want sponsore me for a work permit in LOS.

is it easier and cheaper if I am married to a thai lady??

I know in the USA they give you a work permit right away, and you can work anywhere you want.

i wonder if it s not more benefical to get married instead to do all these visa runs (i am below 50).

This is not the USA and work permits in Thailand are not thrown around like confetti at a wedding and there are lots of hoops to jump through to obtain one.

In addition getting married to your Thai lady won't make a great deal of difference to the above application.

To apply for a visa in Thailand based on marriage is not an easy visa to obtain making many married guys over the age of 50 go for the retirement visa instead.

Your reasons to be issued with a work permit seem weak so can i suggest a much easier route with being under 50 is to go for an ED visa.

Finding a suitable job will make it easier to get a work permit than what marrying a local will.

I'm 50 and married to a Thai wife.

The financial requirements are much more higher for the retirement visa compared to the marriage visa.

Unfortunately, you cannot be issued a work permit on a retirement visa.
