August 12, 201114 yr Hi, my wife found this little snake crawling out of our house. Poor little fella did not survive this Anyone knows what it is? We live surrounded by rubber trees and banana trees. Thanks.
August 12, 201114 yr It's a golden tree snake great to have around as it eats rodents! But only if it is alive! http://www.siam-info.de/english/snakes_chrysopelea.html#Chrysopelea%20ornata%20ornatissima TBWG

(At least she does not kill them....)
August 15, 201114 yr Am I alone in thinking this does not look like a Golden Tree Snake? They're not normally so stripey?
August 16, 201114 yr TBWG is wrong I'm afraid. What you have there is a Paradise tree snake. My link I'm guessing your in southern Thailand from your name, Quite lucky to see one. Shame its dead.
August 19, 201114 yr 1 of the cat's killed this, is it a Brown Long Glanded Coral Snake? I included the dust pan for a size reference (approx 12"} It had black diamonds down it's side and 2 black stripes near the tail end. Head was very dark. I live in Ranong for range purposes. What you have there is Calliophis maculiceps. Small-spotted / speckled Coral Snake. My link Quite friendly, you can handle them without fear of being bitten.
