August 12, 201114 yr Does anyone knows a software to stabilize a shaky video (below) ? I'm not a very frequent filmer so I don't want to pay for video processing software but perhaps there is a free tool to do this, anyone who knows ? Any good suggestions are welcome, like to learn more about this.. Thanks ! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SnF3JZTkONw
August 12, 201114 yr You can try using Virtual Dub + the Deshake filter that you can download for it, as I used here on a video of my own: It'll take a little setup work to get it to work well, but the results can be quite impressive,. Best of all, it's all free! Good luck with it! Edited August 12, 201114 yr by Terry1971
August 13, 201114 yr Author I tried Virtual Dub bud did not understand how to add the deshaker plugin. Today I found this one it's a great all-in-one tool, for everything from de-shaking to subtitles and narrating. Very easy tool and free. http://www.nchsoftware.com/videopad/index.html
August 14, 201114 yr Author For those interested, here the same video after 'deshaking'. The quality is little less because I had deleted the original and needed to download the YouTube version to edit. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GYMNgr94UL0
August 14, 201114 yr I followed your post just out of interest, always like to learn something new. The difference between the original and the "deshaked" clip is impressive. Will keep a note of that program, may come in handy in the future.
