Ways To Pay For Thai Dual Entry Visa In Laos

Featured Replies

Hello There,

I have a small issue.

I have come from Bangkok to Laos (Vientienne) in order to obtain a dual entry visa.

However, I stupidly forgot to bring my bank cards with me.

I have enough cash to get me around and to get me back to Bangkok, as I already have my train ticket.

However, I do not have enough cash with me to pay for the visa in cash, at the Thai Embassy, which is B2,000.

Does anyone know of any other ways in which I could pay for the visa?

I was thinking that bank transfers are very popular in Thailand, and therefore they may accept something like that, which I could arrange from Bangkok.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Kind regards,

Cash payment, I suspect, is the only option. But only Consulate or agent can directly answer you.

Maybe one of the touts in front of the Embassy, who does visas would let you transfer money into his bank account and he could get your visa for you to earn some commission.

Don't do anything you'll regret

Its only a few minutes to Thaialnd if you have aThai ccount maybe transfer to a branch at the border

Is the OP serious, or is this some troll attempt? If he doesn't have THB 2,000 in cash on him, how does he expect to survive anyway?

Sure. The commission will likely be the full amount of the transfer.

He may well be serious (he said money was not with him not that he does not have any money) and is posting from Vientiane so wish him the best. Not only was it a serious mistake to forget funds it would become much more of an issue if Thailand were to request the required 10,000 baht on his return to Thailand before letting him enter. Not likely to happen but always a possibility. Don't leave home without your money/access.
