Dogbreath
Any American expats trading forex? Using a US broker or not ? I am a long way from starting to trade. Trying to get my ducks in a row. I spent nearly 20 years in the investment business, have a healthy respect for the risks involved and want to limit them as much as possible. Any advice from serious experienced traders welcome. Chivas
Surprised no one's responded to date. Am sure there are American "expats" trading but would imagine most are semi-pro rather than full time on this forum.

chainarong
There's alot involved in Fx trading , be carefull where you put your stop loss /profit points , remember the dealer always wins, don't trade on big announcements , unless you know how to ride them. Good book to buy " Beat The Forex Dealer " by Agustin Silvani .Good, luck you will need it.
keestha
There have been a lot of threads about forex in this forum. But no people coming forward who can say they have made a living off forex for say minimally five years. I stopped when I realized I could just as well go to a casino, at least a lot of beautiful women around instead of spending my days alone in between three computer screens. Well I can say that for four years I have done fine !! But I will say my targets are low as I have few expenses, although I trade the Indicies more than forex. IMHO Overtrading and looking for non existant positions are the biggest bugbear ??
4evermaat
There have been a lot of threads about forex in this forum. But no people coming forward who can say they have made a living off forex for say minimally five years. I stopped when I realized I could just as well go to a casino, at least a lot of beautiful women around instead of spending my days alone in between three computer screens. there are a couple of threads around on this. But financial forums like forex factory and elitetrader.com have specifics on forex trading. I do a lot of automated trading, ut my friend focuses on manual trading. One thing is for sure: have two different internet connections. Also, the lower cost of living definitely puts you at an advantage. i do not use any USA-based brokers. The NFA/CFTC has become too overbearing.
enso
Personally im using th.systemforex.com. Its easy to work with them, and they have lots of good possibilities to trade better. One of possibilities is that you can copy the best trades from other traders.
kblaze
I like FXCM, although the spreads are bad. Just easy to use. I'm just a beginner though, not really making money.
