Are Two Employers Allowed?

Hi there,

I've been offered a job in Thailand. The employer (thai) will provide me with a work permit.

If I want to work for another company at the same time (part time or freelance) how can that be arranged? As regard to work permit...

The first employer needs to give permission for a second employer to be added to the WP.

All the same paperwork will be required by the Labor Office from the second employer.

Once you have obtained the work permit booklet through your first employer you can add the second employer for a fee of 3,000 Baht at the Labor Office where the first work permit was issued. You will still need all the same documentation from the second company that was required for the application for the first work permit. In addition, written permission from your first employer signed by the owner or Managing Director on company letterhead is necessary.
