I have a work permit and a non-immigrant B visa that expires December 11th. I go back to the UK Sept 6th-Oct 9th, what are my options regarding a new visa/extension as I will not return to the UK again until next year? Do I just have to buy a new one and lose the two months or can I tag the new one on to the old? What is my best option?

Do you stay here for 90 days and depart (visa) or for one year and just make 90 day address reports to immigration (extension of stay)?

A visa is valid for date of issue and from a Consulate. An extension of stay is valid from end of current stay and from Immigration.
