Heavily Pregnant passenger escapes injury in central Pattaya road crash

PATTAYA: -- A woman, eight-months pregnant, was involved in a road accident in Central Pattaya in the early hours of Tuesday. Police and Rescue Services were called to the Central Pattaya Intersection with Pattaya Third Road to deal with the crash which involved a City Garbage Truck and a pick-up driven by Khun Samlan aged 29, who admitted to falling asleep at the wheel and jumping a red traffic light. The truck driver, Khun Sompop aged 56, was angry at the reason behind the crash and it was confirmed he was not at fault and went through the junction on a green traffic light. Khun Samlan’s wife, who was a passenger in the car, was taken to Hospital as a precaution but was later released.
